On Feb 3rd 2018, I used the coinstar located at the Piggly Wiggly. Before I went in I had already counted the quarters that were in a candy tin. The quarters amounted to 106.00. I have to estimate the rest of the change in the tin at 40.00 as I did not count it. You...

The machine gave the wrong gift card, people in the store were useless, but were still better than the customer service "representatives" at coinstar itself. They basically said I was screwed and stuck with a *** gift card for a restaurant I hate even though I had...

Intentional inferior ink for code | Coinstar review

Same thing, absolutely everything on the coinstar gift certificate is legible ACCEPT FOR THE Code, they intentionally use an inferior ink for the code. This is not for public safety it is so they can blatantly rip off there customers!

I pressed get cash, followed by accept 11.9% fee.... then began dumping coins. Then I lifted the lever to dispense them in the machine. I looked up at the screen and the options were, “get cash”.. I was a little worried that it had not been counting my coins so...

Different coupon issued than what i chose | Coinstar review

1.5
Details
I chose a coupon for Lowe's and after counting up almost $500 I was given a coupon for toys r us. They wouldn't correct it said their machine was fine and too bad. I had to buy toys and bicycles to spend the coupon and I don't have kids. I never selected toy store. Be careful and don't put more than your willing to lose per transaction. They are unreliable. I complained to CA. Weights and measures but they don't watch this thing.

I had the same problem. I called Coinstar and they said to tell the lady if it won’t scan, to type in the numbers of the barcode. She did that and was able to cash it out.

Couldn’t finish ecard transaction | Coinstar review

Chose the ecard option and the ecard store. Deposited my coins and was asked to confirm ecard choice. Then, the machine tells me it is not an option and I would get a cash voucher minus the fee. No notification before I began, only after. Don’t used coinstar!

I was willing and happy to pay the 11.9 percent for cashing in the 6 pounds of coins that I have. What was upsetting, is that the coin star at the Walmart in Hamburg PA , did not count one Nickel that I put in. No, I did not count the amount of Nickels that I had, but...

Coinstar does at times go out of calibration, and it's the nickles that show up. However they show as rejects and would have been in the reject chute as the machine doesn't keep them.

Some people don't realize there is a reject chute. The next customer that used the machine probably got your nickles.
