As you feed the coins into the machine, if the hopper gets too full a gate will close so as to not over fill the hopper. A message will come up that says, "my you have a lot of coins, please wait for us to catch up.

As the level lowers in the hopper to where it can hold more coins the gate will open up and allow more coins into the hopper, thats the rush of coins you hear.

To prevent that from happening, feed your coins slower into the machine as to not over fill it to where the gate closes. The machine will process 600 coins per min while processing.

I believe it is against the law for them to even have an expiration date. Check it out for yourself and remember that Small Claims Court is your friend !

I sued Time Warner Cable over their mistake in verbiage on bills and I won the case easily. 4 years of $99 a month Triple Play was my reward.

CoinStar Can Not Count

2.0
Details
I had a total of 462 dollars of Coins, I took 160 dollars to CoinStar and was given a voucher for 123.00 dollars. Their rate was 10.9 cents per dollar which the fee should have been 17.44. I was charged 37.00. Do the math. I used a CoinStar at my local Kroger location in Dallas, TX. I'd like to know what their safety measures are to ensure that the machines are counting the change correctly. Kroger's customer service people said they don't have any control over the machines and is a issue to take up with CoinStar. Never again will I use them.
